Husqvarna sprocket change question

How ofton should the chain drive sprocket be changed on a Husqvarna 450e? Is there a scheduled change required? Is there an indication it needs changing?

According to the manufactures the sprocket should be replaced with every second chain, in reality they will last longer.

Thank You. I use more than one size bar so have not actually replaced a chain yet, but still using same sprocket since saw was new, about 4 years ago. I have two chains for each size bar (one 16" and one 20") and rotate through depending on cutting project.
