I am about to bite the bullet on this machine.

I started off looking for something at the low end - 100 series JD, Crafstman or the Husqvarna YT1942T.

After some research, I have decided that I am indeed going to be better off spending some more money upfront for a better machine.

I need this to be a 15 year or up reliable machine. I take good care of my stuff. It will be stored indoors. I have about 1.5 acres of yard to cut. My yard is flat but bumpy in parts (strip of grass along the gravel driveway).

Any last minute opinions on this machine given my expectations? This is, very much at the end of my price range but I'd be willing to consider any others that you might recommend in the same price range.

I think the Husky will be just fine for your needs knowing what they are from your last posts- with proper care and for the hours you'll be running it, I don't see any probs getting 15 yrs out of the Husky 1542 with the Kawi twin and decent hydro.

I think you made a good choice. I can't think of anything available that's better for the same $$$$.

Where can you find one these? Seem like all the Husky dealers around here don't carrry that model.
