Howdy, waiting for Hay to dry. I thought I would pick ur brains on a few problems with the above. I'm now in possession of two of the above. One has a "seized' up transaxle ( sealed throw-away) with rear wheels "locked". What is the "easiest" way to make the carcass moveable. Seems strange that noone has been inside to fix or repair these things??? Throw away society I guess???
Problem 2: electric clutch (pto) for mower deck is stuck...if u engage it kills engine. Is this simalar to a magnetic a/c clutch in a car??? Do they "rust up"? I never was in one. Do they come apart? Any quick fixes???
I have searched a few sites about this, and I'm just not feeling real good about these "lawn mowers". Thanks, JoeB

their is a ball bearing in the clutch that could lock up and cause this to happen. It should be replaceable

Mopacman, thanks for the reply. I'll get it up on the lift after lunch.

It could bee a safety switch as well. Inherited a John Deere with same problem, seat switch was bad.
