Hustler Zero Turn? Others?

Looking to buy a zero turn. Have a few yards i mow and feel it will speed up my time over a regular tractor. Not a huge budget $3000ish (give or take depending on options). Would like a 48" deck. The hustler Sport 48" looks pretty nice. Any others I should look at?

I am looking also. I own a hustler fast trac 48" cut. Bought it in 2009. It has been a good mower. I am looking at the Gravely brand now and I will probably go with one of there mowers. I am looking for a 60" cut and they seem to have the best price and a heavy well made mower. I looked a long time before I bought the hustler. Someone suggested to just buy one of the 3000 dollar cub zero turns. They usually run fine for 1500 hours. I have 100 hours on mine and I mow 3 yards. It would take me a while to get to 1500 hours, probably could have saved some money going that route. Big dog is also made by same brand that makes hustler mowers. They are suppose to be a little cheaper but still good. There are to many to pick from!

I have the Hustler 52" Fastcut and I have for about 7 years. It's been a great machine and had to fabricate a better tow hitch to pull the cyclone rake I have. The Honda Engine has been great

Two of my neighbors have Hustler Zero turn mowers. They have both told me that they are satisfied with the brand.

I have 2 Xmark commercial mowers and have been extremely pleased with them.Pricey but well made,bought one new the other with 500 hours on it 48" and a 60".

SEB92,
IMHO $3,000 for a ZTR that will be used for "a few yards" is kinda light. And the Hustler Sort, with the sealed EZT tranny would probably not be up to the task of even a small lawn service. I don't know of any ZTR's in that price range that I would recommend for cutting multiple yards. Sorry:0(

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions! I ended up purchasing a Kubota ZG127S-54.. I felt it was a good in between residential and commercial. The features offered, more beefy frame, large rear tires sold me. Very comfortable ride

That was a good choice and should prove to be much more durable than the Hustler Sport for your needs. With this being Kubota's first year to offer an affordable high-end residential/entry-level Commercial ZTR, please post some pics and keep us updated with an honest review from a real-time owner after using it for several hours. We all know that "Kubota don't make no junk".....but I for one am curious as to how this first-year model fares compared to competitor's similar models. Enjoy!!!!!

Picked up my new ZG127s-54 today. Mowed one yard so far. FANTASTIC!!!! It's not just the new toy.... I mean new tool talking either.. Beautiful cut, very smooth ride (find it difficult to believe the low profile tires ride smooth), lots of leg room too! I'm 6'4" and sit very comfortably. My mulch kit is on order and I am curious to see how well it will mulch. I use my fathers JD D130 to bag leaves in the fall. Might have to get a bagger for Kubota. It's got some power. It got dark before pictures so ill take a couple tomorrow for you, also give more feed back after I get some more seat time!
