My little ford just sprung a leak on one of its hyd. hoses. Its one of the hoses that goes to the bucket. My question is when changing this hose do I need to "bleed" the system or anything special? Or can I change it and go on without any air in the line to cause it to act-up?

The tractor is a 1984 Ford 1710.

Thanks, Henton

Thanks Will.

I just got off the phone with my brother in law and he said the same thing. Just change hose and work it back and fourth a few times and all will be good.

And to add,,,,

Replace the hose, don't put a new fitting on old hose.

Might be a good time to inspect the others. Replacing two hoses that are 'side by side' is almost as easy as doing just the one.

Check your fluid level.
