Hyd pressure for BX23

I have read here the hyd pressure for the BX 24 and 25 is 1849psi and would like to find out for a friend if the BX 23 is the same. We are thinking of checking his also.

If you look through the threads, there is one titled "BX23 releif valve location". The consensus was the same pressure, about 1850 PSI. The other week, I checked mine and raised it to 1850 PSI from about 1620 PSI. The change was noticable as I was digging a ditch for a french drain today. Good luck, it was a simple adjustment and only took a few minutes.

Thanks for the link and information. Seems like the hyd system is the same from the 23 to the 25.

Does your releif block look like the one illustration for the BX23? There do seem to be many simularities between these models.

I really can't tell for sure from the illustrations on the linked post and the BX 23 isn't near me. I did the pressure test and increase on my 24 and I am going to mail the gauge and stuff to my friend to use on his 23. I wanted to find out the pressure setting for the 23 before I recommended to him what to do. From what I have read here I am hoping everything is the same.

I have heard, but don't know for sure, that the 24 will lift more than the 23 and my guess is that is because of bigger sized rams and not a different hyd system.

My owners manual states the loader lift capicity is 463#, and that the lift cylinders are 1.5 inch. I've lifted a lot of large rocks, a few right at the capacity of the FELs capability.

I didn't find the capicity in the owners manual but the brochure lists 518# 500mm fwd,max height. 500mm must be about the bucket length. I can't find the ram size for the 24. Not much difference so I am still hoping hyds are the same. I guess the arms changed a lilttle also. 24 has curved arms and 23 has straighter arms maybe.

Mine when new wouldn't quite lift the brush cutter out of the back of my pickup. I got it up just enough with the curl to back out. But I was trying to lift it cantilevered off the front of the bucket with a chain tied back to the bucket. I should be able to lift it now.
