John Deere 455
I have searched a few threads on here, but haven't found the info I need. I have a John Deere 455 All Wheel Steer. Like alot of people found out the steer cylinder is welded. I am fairly good with metal and have the cylinder apart. I can't find any numbers on the seals or where to get seals. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thank You in advance and hope to repay the favor.

probably what you will learn on this adventure is that those seals are probably proprietary to john deere, also if the cylinders are welded they were meant to be replaced not repaired, that being said, you have a few options replace them, but that won't be near as fun as the other two options. you may be able to go to your nearby hyd. repair shop and try to have them match up something and get lucky, or you can have them made we use american high performance seals here in sw pa,you can either use them or someone comparable in your area. but be fore warned it can be pricey. if you have to go this route i would get the cylinders lead time and price quoted. and due the same with the seal mfg. they will probably want your seals and some metal dimensions before they can quote. hopefully you will get lucky first.
