As a bit of background, I got rid of my old orange DK 45 se hst for a new orange NX 50 hst cab. My .02, the FEL doesn't operate quite the same as the old DK, not bad just diferrent. The newer engines run smoother, but not enought seat time to tell how much better. With a cab now (the old one was open station) the sounds are different and the seat is smaller feeling. I like that they changed the tank location from the hood to the side. I like the fact that they changed the fuel filter. I don't like that there is no external storage anymore (no toolbox or little bin). I will know more about the tractor in about 200 hours. Intially it seems faster than the old one. The linked pedal is new to me, but seems kind of useful. I am trying to figure out the PTO thingy, as I had always just used manual. I will be putting the AC to use soon, at the next grass cutting session.
Does anyone who owns one have a hydraulic 3t/Top n tilt size recommendation? Secondly a manufacturer recommendation? I wanted to buy one off the TBN guy (mountainview I think) but 18 weeks is a long time to wait. ( I know he is a one man outift, but I have a job to do soon and eighteen weeks puts me past ground work time and into snow moving time.
TIA
I almost went Kubota, it was a bit of a toss up, but I like my dealer and I have been doing business with him for about 12 years. 2 tractors, implements, a zero turn, and some rentals, not to mention parts and work.
