Kubota B3030
Hello all, I have a Kubota B3030, with a Kubota FEL & BH, W.R. Long Grapple (best tool ever!!) Wood Estate 48" BB and Woods 60" Rake/ Gauge wheels(from my BX23 days).

I am in the process of raking the yard around the new house and the 750' driveway and am looking for a way to adjust the angle of the rake without having to stop and do it manually, I seem to be wasting a lot of time, either driving in circles or stopping to adjust.

I did install the grapple myself, including the hydraulics, but I do not know how to weld, is there a kit or any ideas out there how to accomplish this??

Try a search for top and tilt and you should get a ton of info. Once you have it, you'll wonder how you lived without...

Yesterday we moved a lot of dirt at rswyan's place. He was using a landscape rake that he had just finished that had a cylinder that adjusted his angle. It looked to me lake a pretty nice way to make adjustments on the fly. I know from the smile on his face that he liked it.

Was I grinning that much ?

It was probably from being on the receiving end of some great help from my good neighbors PineRidge and JASTN70D, who contributed their entire Saturday out in the sweltering heat (well PineRidge anyways, since JASTN70D has A/C in the cab on his tractor :D) to help me move a huge amount of topsoil and grade it out.

Yes, having the angle cylinder on the rake is very, very handy. We spread out the topsoil to to fill in an area where our old driveway had been and to bury 120' of 12" culvert. Changing the angle on the rake often was required to blend in the new topsoil to existing lawn and herd the rocks (there were tons of them) into piles.

Anyways here's some pics of the rake setup - it ain't pretty - I built it myself and haven't got a chance to squirt it yet - but it is very heavy-duty - probably weighs on the order of 500 lbs or so. Digs in very well.

Rswyan I said it before and I'll say it again, that's a right nice looking rake. And don't worry about the fact that it's not been painted yet, I have Paint Shop Pro what color would you like it to be? ;)

It was also fun being able to trade tractors with you and Jastn70D for a short bit to get a chance to operate your rigs.

Glad to have had the opportunity to help you!
