Hydraulic Breaker for Kubota U-25 Mini -Advice needed

I am interested in getting a breaker for my Kubota U25. Has anyone been down this road before? Wondering what I should buy or if its even worth it on a mini this small. I have not operated a breaker before so seeking advice.

They like hyd flow and are hard on the machine. Unless you have a lot of work, I'd consider renting a machine for the project at hand and tear up rental equipment instead of yours

I would agree with rusty. Never used a breaker, but owned a U25. Great mini ex. I think that breaker would break more than the stone and concrete, if you know what I mean.

I have had a breaker on a KX161-3 and a larger Kobelco. I have seen no ill effects from using the breaker on either machine. When I use the breaker I increase the greasing intervals for the machine. Now it also has to do a lot with the way you run the machine with the breaker, could it do damage, I'm sure, but I'm the only one who runs my equipment when the breaker is on. You also need to realize that a breaker for a U25 will only be around a 300 ft/lb impact class, not sure what you're going to be doing with it or what your expectations are, but it would break some concrete and some stone, but for sure it beats a hand held one...

Just thought I should add this.....obviously if you are just using the machine to hammer 40 hours a week you are more than likely to see some problems, I've hammered for about 24 consecutive days with my bigger machine with apparent problems....let me also also add this, after the first 5 minutes,hammering rock is about as fun as stabbing yourself in the eye.....

The way I've heard it put is that it's better to rent a machine with a breaker then to put a breaker on your own machine...
