Good info thanks. I am trying to picture you getting a little carried away and accidentally burying yourself because the chute is pointing towards you!

If burying myself can happen...it probably will, ha! Worse than that, someone will be there to take pictures. Take care. Dyer, retired

Dyer,

I know this is an old post, but I'm hopeful that you still read these...

Does your chute turn in BOTH directions or is does it go left only, like in NASCAR? :checkeredflag:

I built a similar solution to yours (With many of the same experiences you've described!) but for some reason, mine only goes left. :melodramatic:

I have a bx24.

Welcome to TBN.
Do a search for the term "regen", it will explain your problem. The quick answer is you have to push your joystick further to the right.

Kennyd is right, just push the stick past the detent to the right and that chute will start spinning. We had some chance to spin the snowblower chutes today in mid-Maine. Hope that works for you.

Yeah, the regeneration valve, might be the cat's meow on a loader, but really left me scratching my head on my build. Until I went back to the dealer and said there was a problem with my tractor, only there was no problem. With no loader, I'd prefer a "normal" valve so I could feather the speed in either direction. That full speed ahead rotation might be why some overshot the end of the grooves on the chute. I've already added grooves all the way around, and have found that to be useful. When dealing with wind and trees, I've found times when I do want to blow almost backwards.

My build only made it half way before winter hit though. Too many cost adding factors kept cropping up. I did whip up a different mount for the crank, instead of it wobbling around on the joystick. That made enough improvement in the rotation factor, I probably never would have started the hydraulic rotation build.

I didn't realize that there was a detent for the horizontal right on the joystick. Once past, it rotated perfectly. This project (Except for prettying it up.) is done! Will post pics and prices later.
