Hydraulic cylinder repair kits

I have a Du-Al 105 front end loader with leaky cylinders. The part numbers for the cylinders are: 30227 and 30228. Are these part number specific to this brand of loader or are these a standard number for hydraulic cylinders? I need to find a repair kit and try to repair myself before taking to tractor place$$. Anyone know a source for repair kits? I can't seem to find anything through internet search (and I am pretty good at finding anything on the internet).

Any idea what brand the cylinder is? If not I would disassemble one and just go to the farm store or auto parts store and get new O-rings. If you need a gland then you will have to do some searching.

Your best bet will be to take one to a local hydraulic shop, they can ID the seals/packing's for you and sell you replacements. If you can accurately measure and ID the seals then places like Hercules Sealing Products-Hydraulic cylinder repair seals and seal kits, replacement cylinders and cylinder components for construction and many other heavy equipment industries. sells them online.

Finding a "kit" is probably not going to happen for this machine.

These cylinders are no longer available. Does anyone have a spare 30228 cylinder for a Du-Al 105 loader they can sell me?

Hey guys, Probably a little too late but I rebuilt the tilt cyclinders on my Du-Al 105 bucket a while back. Got the parts from a local dealer who ordered them from Woods. The part number for the rebuild kit is 30236-1. I rebuilt both my tilt cylinders and not too bad of a job. The hardest part was getting the main cap unscrewed, it was pretty tight. Used a BIG pipe wrench. Seems that Woods bought out Du-Al a while back. Good luck. Mike

I rebuilt the cylinders on a Woods backhoe last summer. I took the cylinder apart and took the seals to a local hydraulic business. They matched up the parts and I put them in the cylinder. The hardest part was making the wrenches to get the cylinders apart.
