What's the difference between that and AHC17687?

Parts breakdown is a little confusing for that cylinder. Never resealed one of these, but it appears you need key 11, 18, 2, and 10 to get all the seals. Picture may be inaccurate though.

I had two lift cylinders leak at about 350 hours on my previous Kubota L2900, dealer replaced the seals for $75 (each.) Pulling them - what a mess. Hydraulic fluid all over the place.

You're saying it might be worth the $75-100 or so to get the seals replaced at the dealer rather than do it myself? I don't know where I'd have the hydraulic oil leak.. maybe I can drain it beforehand somehow? If I need all those parts as jd110 suggested, that's quite a lot for just some seals.

All those parts ?

Looks like just seals and 0-rings...

If me, I'd remove the cylinder, take it to your Deere dealer (or other trusted hydraulic shop), and ask them to install the seal kit.

You can look up the parts as well, and check the prices.. I agree with jd110 that exactly what seal parts are needed is a bit confusing from the schematics shown.. wish you well with the decision.

Pay the dealer or a hydraulic shop to change the seals, I'm a DIY guy and mechanically inclined but I want no part of pulling a cylinder apart.

No reason to drain the hydraulic fluid beforehand. When you remove the cylinder you are going to lose a little fluid from both hoses no matter how fast you work so put cardboard or whatever on the ground under the cylinder (a large oil catch pan would work well.) Have a five gallon bucket handy to put the cylinder in - whatever you do, don't push the extended rod into the cylinder until you get it in a bucket. You will squirt hydraulic fluid all over the place. Been there, done that .

One thing to check into is the availability of a plug you can screw into the hoses to keep them from dripping. I used a zip-lock bag and a cable tie on the hose ends but still some weeping happened.
