FYI - I had an opportunit to really work my Kubota RTV900 yesterday. Used it to move about 80 FEL loads (B2410) of dirt. My RTV has a hydraulic lift and it worked great to dump the loads of dirt (4 FEL fills in the RTV bed). Plenty of power to handle the load when dumping. Rear gate latches much better than the old Gator. Had to haul the loads over hills about 2 blocks away and the RTV handled the loads quite easily. The more I use this utility vehicle, the more impressed I am with its durability.

Yes, it works great, but it depends on the size of your FEL. Two buckets from my FEL = no lift. I'd say that as long as you are under 800 or 1000 pounds or so it will lift fine all day long.

I paid for the Hydraulic kit when I bought my recreational model but I haven't seen it yet. From the sounds of it, it may be a while. Sucks because I wanted it to do a lot of flower bed and random landscape work and now it looks like it will not be ready in time. Need it now but not looking good. Glad to know they are working well. Haven't really even riden mine yet. I've had it about a month and I think it has 1 hour on it. Hard to run up the time when it is parked in the garage. GS

Yeah, it would have been nice to know before he got the money that it would be forever before I would see my lift. Wonder how the one from DW compares to the factory one? I would be curious to see the specs. Thanks for the heads up though. If it takes too long, I may end up going that route anyway. GS

That is a good price for the power dump. If it is the screw type, like the JD, it will lift considerably more than the hydro lift. I've had 2 JD's with the screw lift and I would say that the screw lift will lift twice what the hydro will lift. I've used the same tractor loading the same dirt with the same FEL, and the screw lift is much more powerful. They hydro is quite a bit faster, but not nearly as strong.

Thats funny, my experience is the opposite. I guess it depends what your use it. The hydro dumps much faster than the electric screw type. The dirt-works kit is half the price of the RTV hydro dump kit, its certianly a consideration for anyone without the dump cylinder.

Nope. I aired up my tires and used my RTV again today to move dirt. Two buckets of dirt in the bed from my FEL on my Kubota L4310HSTC and not enough power to dump it. I realize that the bed on the RTV is considerably larger than the JD Gator's, so I made sure that I only put in two bucket loads; the same as I always used to fill the Gator bed. Actually with the Gator I could put two buckets of dirt plus as much of a third that would fit in the bed and both of the Gator's I had would dump no problem. Oh well, I don't remember what the RTV is advertised to dump, but the two bucket loads are probably about 900 to 1000 pounds and that is likely all it is rated to dump. I definitely like the RTV better, but there is no comparison on the dump capacity. Maybe somebody will come up with a way to improve in it.

The cargo bed max load is 1100 lbs. and you should be able to dump that amount with no problem. I'll see if I can find the exact spec. You are operating the engine @ WOT while dumping...right?

I agree, hydraulic dump is much faster than the screw type!
