Does anybody out there have the hydraulic Dump power pack material collection system? Can you dump it from the tractor Seat without disconnecting anything?
Does it have it's own SCV and use power to the rear/power beyond or does it need to be hooked up to the DSCV on the joystick?

General impressions of using it, etc.

Thanks,

The dump system uses your existing scv for the hydrualics, but you can add a valve with power beyond if you want to. Also no you do not get off the tractor to dump it, just back up to the area where you are going to dump it, then raise it. (It's really a neat design)

Thanks for the information. Also, does it mount on the 3pt hitch or does it require some sort of permanent mount?

I have heard you need to be careful about the wind when you dump as you could get a load of material ontop of yourself!

One last question. At around $4950 retain (With the blower engine, etc.) it's a pretty pricey accessory. Do you feel it's worth the $$$. My dealer really won't discount it.

If you are going to use it catching grass most of the time and also if you have alot of trees dropping leaves during the year it worth it. But just to bagg once in while and just a few leave no it not. Now if you find a used one at a reduced price then it worth it either way, that what I did.
Also I never had a problem the wind during dumping. But if you fill the hopper all the way up until the chute is plugged, then when you dump it all the grass in the chute blows all over you and the tractor.

I looked for a used one, but sofar only could find a used one for a 455. I thought about getting it and converting it, but they sold it before I could get out there. i jhave a lot of trees and I am concerned that the leaves will be a monstorous issue. So i am considering a 2k investment for the 3 bad 14 bushel option from Deere.

The Hyd Dump Pack is worth the investment. I dump into my F250 pickup. I modified mine to fit my 2520. (The only mod was removing the mower discharge flapper and buying a boot. JD is supposed to be coming out with a boot for the 62D MMM. But I have found JD to be very slow and responsive at times to the consumers needs. Seems like they are always playing catch up.
