I've had tractors pop a hydraulic line before, you just go get a new one. But, in 2012 I bought a smaller 3038 as a retirement unit. It's got 800 hours on it now, and no issues... Except every few years it seems to loosen one of the hydraulic line fittings and I get fluid everywhere. Never popped a line, and I routinely lightly tighten fittings. But had it do it again Monday - on the FEL and I wasn't even using it at the time. Rarely do I loose a significant amount of fluid before stopping it - but it's annoying. Am I doing something wrong?

A drop of blue Loctite, once you clean the oil off, would probably help. I've had bolts and fitting like that, for no reason I could figure out, they would not stay tight. Maybe bad threads, odd vibration was the cause.
