I have an LS 3039r tractor. Getting ready to do the maintenance on hydraulics. Was going to use TSC Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid and Wix 551715 filter. Is this suitable? It痴 seems extremely hard to find the correct info on this tractor. Have the service manual and download parts and have found some miss info on capacities already? I bought this tractor used with 560 hours and appears that no maintenance was done on hydraulics, filter is just black with no ID? Thx for any suggestions?

I would have the same guess that the filter had been painted black with the rest of the rig when built. If you have the part numbers, go to the filter thread at the top of this forum, hit search thread with the part number and you will likely find some cross reference on parts anyways. Or rely on the WIX interchange. I use OEM filters on hydraulics when I can which was a Case/ New Holland filter from Messicks and a Zinga which came from Amazon as the dealer didn't have them.

Hey thx, also does anyone know how many drain plugs and location? Can’t find info anywhere, think I know but want to be sure. Information on these tractors are hard to find, simple things like just a fluid change?

When I did my 300 hour hydraulic service, I bought filters from LS and I used the Traveler Premium hydraulic fluid. I had two filters ---- one is for the hydro transmission.

I have a 2013 R4041H with the Mitsui engine. These are the NAPA numbers:

Engine oil. = NAPA # 1334. Wix # 51334
Hydraulic = NAPA # 1715 Wix # 51715
Hydraulic Transmission = NAPA. # 1551. Wix # 51551
Inner Air = NAPA # 2985. Wix # 42985
Outer Air = NAPA # 6438. Wix # 46438
Fuel Filter = NAPA # 3128. Wix # 33128

I use the Travelers Premium Hyd. Oil also,

I think some of these are the same for your machine.

Thx for all the info, I’m still trying to verify which drains plugs are for the hydraulics? A 30mm drain plug near hydraulic filter painted white in transmission case? Also same style drain plug in bottom of differential case? Also how much to refill? Operating manual said 8 gallons, service manual said 11.4 gallons? Thx again!

My manual for the "40" series says 11.4 gal. You could use either one or both of those drain plugs with the white paint on them.

Thx to everyone for all the help! All complete, required 7 gallons hydraulic fluid and first filter change at almost 600 hours! Since I bought used I think someone wasn’t doing preventative maintenance? Next I guess fuel filter!
