Hydraulic Fluid for Bobcat Backhoe???

I have an operators manual and service manual on the way, but need to know what type of fluid to put in the hydraulic system on my IR BL-275. If any of you know, I would appreciate the info.,

Don't know, but if you are in need of fluid, you can probably use trans/hydraulic fluid. That is what is normally used when the transmission and hydraulic systems use a common sump. If there is a separate sump for transmission and hydraulics, then it's probably straight hydro fluid.

Why the rush? Is it low? A top off with trans/hyd (kubota UDT or generic) would probably be ok.

It's hydrostatic, so I'm really not too sure what kind of fluid to put in it. Never had any tractors newer than 1967! I just recently bought it, and it was leaking fluid from the controls. Leaked out about 1/2 the tank in 3-4 hours use. I fixed the controls, wrong sized o ring smashed in there, but am a little concerned about the fluid level,

Kubota UDT spec fluid will be fine.

What kind of hydraulic fluid do you recommend in my Bobcat machine?
All Bobcat loader engines must use API classification CD, CE or better. Hydraulic and hydrostatic fluid specifications must use Bobcat hydraulic/hydrostatic transmission fluid P/N 6903117 (2.5 gal.), P/N 6903118 (5 gal.), or P/N 6903119 (55 gal.). You can also find this information in your Operation and Maintenance manual. If you don't have a manual, they can be ordered through an authorized Bobcat dealer.
