hydraulic/fluid for bolens iseki 154 diesel tractor

i have a bolens iseki 154 diesel tractor. only one fluid is used for the gearcase and hydraulics.
what is that fluid?

You need about 13litres/3.5gallons & can use any of the following Castrol products:-
AGRI AS TRANS PLUS
or
AGRI MP PLUS
or
VMX80
or
Manual VMX80W

The product goes by various names in various brands but in general you are looking for Hy-Trans. Your local Tractor Supply or other lube diealer will know what it is.

some premium utf's may meet that spec. check the bottles.. etc.. walmart, tsc, etc... napa

after i posted i came across an on line owners manual that called for 80w gear oil in this application

could not print it out

will post if i can relocate

have to be certain about this

what kind of hyd pump does it have.

usually the only pumps handling gear oil are scotch yoke style.

sorry,but i don't know what scotch yoke is.

to the best of my knowledge there are only two addition points for organic fluids on this tractor.engine oil and the port under the seat where you add the fluid i am trying to identify.the large line running to the hyd. pump which i assume is the suction line,runs from the bottom of the transmission housing.

the fluid that is in it appears to be gear oil but it may not be the correct fluid

going to try to buy an owners manual

You can use 90W, but it says to not mix 80 with 90, one or the other.

i'm assuming a piston pump orperhaps gear... vs vane??
