Has anybody heard of one of these for their Kubota, or better yet, has anybody installed one recently?

A buddy of mine that owns a JD 110 just installed one. He purchased the parts direct from John Deere. I've never heard of anybody on the Kubota side discussing this addition. I like the idea of keep the engine and the transmission fluid warm when it's sub-zero.

Jim,

Not sure if a Kubota RTV would count (it does share the same engine as the BX2230), but a couple of us have put block heaters on our trannys (as well as the engine).

Check out this thread

The heaters we used for the tranny may be big enough for your tractor as well. They're rated for 10-30 gallon (although the RTV only uses about 2.5 gallon).

Brian,

That looks like it will work great. However, I don't like the idea of 500 watts burning all night keeping a transmission warm that might get used! The machine will not be damaged by warming up and cooling down at a predetermined schedule. I would definitely use a timer and trigger it to turn on each morning around 5:30am or so. That's a lot of juice to just leave on all winter and not a very efficient use of electricity IMHO. -Not that you are personally doing that, but I know some people who do.

Thanks!
