Is hydraulic fluid the appropriate oil for jacks?
I have some jacks that are 30+ years old.

A couple of them don't seem to have the lift-per-stroke they used to have. I'm referring to 12-ton and 20-ton jacks used to lift houses for foundation repairs and for setting up and moving mobile homes. And a light-duty floor jack. They - and I - were pretty good back then. There's no hope for me, but I hope the jacks can be rejuvenated with topping off of the fluid. Failing that, I guess they'll need new seals. After all, I want my Mrs. to get top $ at my estate sale.
