Today, I noticed a small spot under my tractor. I parked it a little differently than usual, I had the right side slightly downhill, and there seemed to be fluid coming out of the joint where a hard hydraulic line meets what I believe is the transmission. I know almost nothing about hydraulics, so bear with me. I checked the fluid on the back side, and it is indeed low. Is the transmission fluid in the manual the same as hydraulic fluid? What could cause a leak right there? I got about half a turn on that bolt, and I'm hoping that's it. What kind of fluid do I replace it with, I didn't see anything in the manual. It's a 2014 G3038 with 145 hours.

Hopefully the half turn on that bolt will solve the problem. Otherwise, there may be a gasket or 0-ring that requires replacement.

Yes, the transmission fluid & hydraulic fluid are one and the same. Check your Owners Manual again or call your local LS dealer.

Be certain that your tractor is dead level when checking the fluid. Being off camber can have a significant effect on the dip stick.
