Folks, My Kubota L4310 has started dripping Hydraulic fluid. I will attached pictures to show where it is coming from. Can you advise me as to if this is likely a big deal to fix? InkedKubota 3_LI.jpgInkedKubota 1_LI.jpgInkedKubota 2_LI.jpg

After examining the hose for damage, my inclination would be to put a constant tension hose clamp on the hose to secure it.

Previously it may have had a tie wrap which has failed and fallen off.

That hose is metal and actually enters the Iron.

You need to pull the tube out and replace the O ring.

Forgive my ignorance, this is my first experience with these lines. When you say pull the tube out is it as simple as that? Pulling it straight out, replacing o ring then pushing it back in? These line run into the reservoir of hydraulic fluid I resume draining the fluid is a pre-requisite? Can you point to a you tube on this? I searched every permutation of that text and can't find anything on it.

Are you absolutely sure that’s where its leaking. I cant see it very good on your photos. My guess is the tube pushes in the housing and there is an O ring inside the housing to seal tube.
Might have to drain the transmission, going to have to remove the valve on the other end of line to get it out.

Folks, I have determined that my leak is in fact associated with this hard pipe coming into the block (see picture). Can you give me an idea of how difficult a repair this is going to be for me to do myself? Do I need to order the exact replacement part or is this a standard o-ring?

Thanks in advance!

If you study the parts illustration carefully you will see that the hard tube has grooves at each end where the O ring seats.

Best to buy the Kubota part at $2 each to ensure you don't end up trying to use SAE O rings when you need metric ones.

As you push the tube into the housings at each end, the O ring seals to the housing. The O ring is between the tube itself and the transmission housing and filter housing.

You need to have everything very clean. A bit of dirt can prevent the O ring from sealing.

You need to put a film of transmission Oil on the O ring before re-inserting the tube.

When the tube is out you need to study it carefully for cracks and rust.
.
You may have to unbolt the filter housing to get enough play to both remove and reinstall the hard tube.

I would suggest also ordering O ring #80 at the same time in case you have to disturb it.
