Loader Hydraulic Fluid Level for Kubota L2500 4WD w/ LB400 Loader

Okay, I'm really scratching my head over this one. This is a '99 model that I purchased used two years ago. This past weekend, the loader blew a hydraulic line. That was an easy fix. Now, I can't figure out how to check the hydraulic fluid level. I have the original owners manual, but there's no reference on how/where to check the fluid. What am I missing?

Similar to my L3200 I think... There is a sight glass under your left foot. Get off and look for the whiteish sight glass a bit down & back from the clutch pedal.

Trying to use that sight glass to figure out the level of nearly clear hydro fluid is the hard part. I keep meaning to get some hydraulic fluid dye so i have half a chance to see if the fluid level is over or under the glass. Works fine if the level is visible in the glass, not so much if its way over or under.

Thanks! Yes, the L2500 has the same sight glass. The manual refers to it as the transmission fluid level. So, does that mean the hydraulics run off the transmission fluid?

Yup, all the same fluid. Basically on most tractors the transmission is the sump for the whole hydraulic system.
