G'day Brian i hate to disagree with people i have never met but the last thing you want to do is to run hyd over relief all the time which is what you are saying to do, that is the quickest way to destroy oil as you will heat it excessively in no time , also ther should be no reason that you cannot hook straight up to your tractor remote hyd as the operation of the ram is double acting you lift it up and down on hyds you should only need to move the lever to operate if you strike a hard spot or you need to initially break into the ground , using the tractor relief should be fine you should not have to run a seperate valve, now that i've had my grizzle

the idea of using a high flow coupling direct back into the hyd reservoir is something we only do to post drivers as you need to get the oil away fast from the dolly ram so it hits the post nice and hard anyhow enough from me good luck with it all
