Well I am asking for help again, as you may remember I have a Branson 2910i tractor with loader, in August 2019 I replaced hydraulic gear pump, had eye problems they are better , now Friday the 28th I was tilling so I can plant potatoes, and loader dropped, hydraulic oil spewed on tractor and me, I looked for problem and found bolt missing from gear pump to the high side delivery tube that fits on bottom of gear pump. Now for question what size are bolts that secure the two together? I know they were tightened down in August, it has operated great since I replaced pump and I also had bucket cylinders rebuilt. I removed one of the bolts to take so I could get the right bolt and when I looked it there was metal around the bolt. Any ideas? I used old bolts to install because new pump didn't come with new bolts, being metric could bolts have been half size too small? Will get some pictures loaded to show what challenge this is. Thank You,

Is the pump or part the bolts threaded into aluminum? I am wondering it you tightened the bolts too tight, the reason for metal on the bolts?

Yes the pump is aluminum, do you think I will need to tap or could I maybe use heli-coil? I found part number on the Branson forum. I have used tractor almost weekly and no problem until, I was in shock that the bolt actually fell out. So for me to garden i really need this fixed and hope it didn't ruin pump. Thanks

Heli-coils --> may <-- be good rescue if you can get proper coils and use proper bolts.... It would be least expensive "fix" and if done properly should be permanent... Again proper drills/taps/bolts and procedures... Its a case where "size is everything"....

My brother and looked it, will need to remove pump, the i'm going to take to machine shop and the owner also does hydraulic's ,he rebuilt my bucket cylinders for this tractor,he also made machined an adapter for this tractor,so I am pretty sure he can fix this for me. What is bad the tractor is out in the field and with loader on it makes it difficult to work on, well I better get to it. Will let you out come. Thank as always this group comes through with answers.

I second heli-coil thread repair. I doubt just a new bolt will fix it.

I have talked to Keith owner of Fisher-Hills Machinery, Keith said to bring pump to him, this shop is the best kept secret ,it is located in Sweetwater,Texas about 23 miles east from me. It is raining here this morning, the tractor is in the field, because of loader on tractor I can't tow tractor , I will need weather to clear. It is a challenge removing the pump, brother showed me how last time, and I put it back on by myself, you must be very careful when prying pipe not to bend. Will be next week before I can take pump off. Will keep you updated. Thanks everyone for helping,.Sally
