This morning I spend a good 45 minutes and thats fast for me trying to get the hoses on the my BH connected to hoses on the tractors. Is there a different type of connector other than the push in snap type that is easier to connect. I have tried bleeding the hoses and its still very difficult.

I found the only easy way is to put the position select lever (A-N-B) in Nuetral and to keep moving the BH levers to release the pressure. Then they pop right in. I don't think people realize that the pressure is in the lines on the BH and not the tractor. If you keep moving the levers on the BH the pressure will go down.

The other trick with these connectors is to take the male side and put a cloth over it before giving it a firm tap with a hammer. That often releases pressure. A clean wooden dowel can fit inside the female connector and press the pin there to release pressure too.

I find that if I need to struggle for more than 30 seconds connecting these things that there is likely still pressure in one side or the other.

Island, I tried that. Now I understand there might be a tool out there that helps to connect. Thanks

I use a caulking gun to make up difficult connections.

Get a large washer where the center hole will fit behind part of one fillting, and the outside will fit in the front end of the caulking gun. Make two cuts with a hacksaw so the washer is in a "U" shape that will fit over one fitting and be caught in the front of the caulking gun. Catch the rear of the other fitting with the plunger of the caulking gun and you will find that you can apply a lot more force this way than with hand power alone.

Pioneer has new ends out that allow you to hook under pressure.
