I have read several reports of hydraulic hose failures on the MF GC 2410/2610 tractors. For those who have had hydraulic hose failures, is there a certain hose or hoses that fail or does it involve all the hoses. I'm a long way from a dealer so having better hoses made up would probably be best if its a limited problem.

I had one of the hoses on the GC2410 BH boom fail via a wall split. It happened at less 50 hours, but I'm now up to 130 hours and haven't had any more problems. The replacement that the dealer sent me was made of a thicker, stronger material. I wouldn't worry about it, and it's likely it won't be an issue for you. Just watch your hoses and make sure they're not rubbing on any sharp edges (though mine wasn't; it was a hose material defect).

I've had two hoses go on my 2310, though both were well after warranty.

Do you have a hydraulic repair shop nearby? I simply removed mine, took it to a shop, and they made them up on the spot in just a few minutes.

And yes, they were much thicker. The cost wasn't bad, either, only about $20-$25 each time. I even had one made just a tad longer, as the original was a tight fit; no problem!
