Hydraulic Hose Protection

   / Hydraulic Hose Protection #11
OK, this made me laugh. I was excited to see a question about hydraulic hose, because, well, I might know the answer to that one. LOL

It's good that these old posts are still here, because I think some people really find them useful. Who knows, someone may be about to ask a question that's already been asked, and the answer is right here in someone's old thread.

Did the EPHA guy delete his own response, or was he bounced for advertising? I see the quote from Kennyd, but not the original comment he was quoting.

I had concerns about my grapple hydraulic hoses. During the first few hours of operation of my positrac I crushed them between the mounting plate and the body of the machine. Since then I have run most of my hydraulic lines through fire hose. It provides enough stiffness to keep the hose from falling into pinch points and keeps brush from seperating the hoses. I also use just the outside covering of the hose to serve as an abrasion protection on other lines. So far so good and haven't crushed another hose. I got mine from one of the local fire departments that were replacing several hoses.
