I was looking under my B3030 the other week and noticed that the two little hoses from my joystick on the way to the hydraulic port block (terminology?) by the loader arm (where the loader hoses come out of) are rubbing on a corner of the metal frame where they go through a hole. The two little hoses come out of the joystick go down through the floor, then go through a hole/opening underneath the tractor right at the front of the cab and right before the loader, then go up into the port block or whatever it is called. Anyway the two joystick hoses where they go through the hole in the frame underneath they are rubbing on the metal corner. I looked at the hoses and the one is worn about 1/16" into the rubber , with the other not far behind. Do these hoses have metal on the inside, or am I going to end up with a blown hose soon? Could some others take a look under their B3030's and let me know if they have the same thing? I'll attach a few pics cause I know I am not explaining this very good. Thanks!

Those hoses are rated high pressure with braided wire inside the rubber coating. If it keeps rubbing it will go into the wire and need to be replaced. Try to wrap some protector at that spot to stop it. I'm going to check my 3030 in the morning. I don't like rubbed hoses.

in areas that are not too tight, I like to use 1" foam pipe insulation with nylon ties. works great bb

Those aren't hyd hoses, they are cables that go to the control valve. The color coded tape on each cable indicates which cable go to which spool valve. I have the same set up on my L4200 with a snow plow. If you follow the two calbes, they both go through the floor and then to the valve. I wouldn't be concerened with a rubbing mark, those cables are designed to rub/wear, there is a steel core with a plastic covering. What you see is the plastic wearing.

What I would do is take a short piece of heater hose, slit it lengthwise and put it over the frame where the cables are rubbing. You could also do the same over the cables and secure it to the cables with a couple of zip ties. A little TLC in that area now will keep it in good working order for a long time.
