Looking for some help in determining issue with my farmpro 2420. Went to do some finish mowing and my power steering and 3pt hitch are not working. Checked hydraulic fluid and filter screen and both are good. Did my hydraulic pump go bad or could it be something else

Most likely that the nut holding the gear onto the pump backed off and caused the gear to back off of the pump shaft. This is not to say that this didn't damage the keyway or shaft, but is most probable.
Second possibility is that there is an air leak in the suction circuit which can be checked by spraying WD40 or oil on the joints, but this is very unlikely unless you have loose bolts at the joints or hit that line.

^^^ +1 -- that's probably the issue.

You might also check the diverter valve behind the hydraulic pump, which splits the flow between the steering and the 3PH. I've had the o-ring split on the back of that valve before -- it will spray fluid everywhere when that fails, so that's probably not causing your problem. If the gear inside your pump looks okay, you could check inside the diverter valve to see if there's a blockage.
