I posted some time back about a hyd. leak on my TC-29 D ..I could not find the thread to continue but here is the thing.,..I finally found the leak and here is the story...
I bought the tractor in 2000 and took it back to the NH dealer to have them install an FEL after 50 hrs. Everything has been fine all these years..1o yrs. so far and then the leak...Well I found the leak and it is from one of the stainless steel or chrome hydraulic lines installed for the loader ..the leak is coming from under on end of a 5 inch piece of rubber hose over one of the steel hyd. lines. There is a screw clamp on each end of the rubber hose which I will now call a patch..since it seems to me when they installed the loader they must have kinked the steel line and their fix was to patch it with the 5 inch piece of rubber hose and 2 screw band clamps..
After finding the leak..for sure today on the backside of the rear clamp toward the back of the tractor I added another clamp just before it and tightened it down hard...see they installed another steel line over the patched one so I could not get to the other clamps which had begun to allow the leak..I hope this fixes it. I will know tomorrow when I check it again.
This is a heads up to any of you getting a new tractor or having the dealer install a loader...Be sure to check all of your steel lines ..Uggg !
