I thought I would post what I found when I developed a leak on my BH-90X.
I have had the backhoe for a bit over 5 years and have really liked it.
I had one area that seemed to be a bit oilier than normal and the grease zerk fitting seemed to be very messy. After cleaning it up several times and finding it very oily again I decided to take a closer look. Determined that the grease fitting was not at fault but had hydraulic fluid very slowly dripping on the grease zerk from directly above. I pulled the -08 ORB fitting to the valve block and saw the O-ring that is pictured. Not much damage but enough. It had never been removed so must have happened at factory installation at Woods. My point is not to bad mouth Woods as I think their equipment is fantastic. Point is that things can happen during install and may not show up for some time. Don't let little leaks continue. Probably can be solved with minimal work and little cost. New O-ring $0.16.
