Good evening,

I just took my backhoe off... was pretty interesting. I was going to hook up to my 3 point bush hog but ran out of daylight! Just wondering what everyone is doing with their hydraulic lines that are hanging there at the back of the tractor? Tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything specific about this topic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First make sure you reconnect the blue/blue or blue/yellow, red remains unhooked. I just use the bungee and create a loop above the top link. (Sorry no pic). I use my grader blade quite often and have had no issues with this setup.

Thanks for the helpful info! I appreciate the quick response, I was totally lost on which lines to connect to each other because the book says to cap one of the lines and none of them have a cap with them. Of course they didn't use the colors for reference in the book. Thanks again!

The blue/yellow lines complete your power beyond circuit, this is why it is very important to shut off your tractor before disconnecting lines, then reconnect and start tractor. If you stop the flow of power beyond it must use the internal pressure release which strains the system and heats the fluid like a boiler. I’m adding top-n-tilt and have done quite a bit of research on the circuit flow....

That top-n-tilt looks pretty sweet. Would you have clearance to put your backhoe back onto the tractor?

Yes I’ll get some photos of my setup it is all custom individually put together. The top link ram uses quick connects and just stays with the last implement I use.

Cool, I look forward to seeing that.

Hey GC1710, I just read your reply that included mention of a "internal pressure release". I have a 2018 GC1710TLB that has terrible drift/bleed down on BH, FEL, and 3PT. Dealer tells me it is normal, I believe it could be dangerous. Is there an additional internal pressure relief valve other than the adjustable pressure relief valve located next to the mid-mount adjuster?

Hmmm I don’t think so but it’s been a while since I looked at the schematics. If you lift a pile of dirty and shut down your tractor how long until the bucket is on the ground?
