Hydraulic Lock on a Plow Hydro line

I was attempting to demonstrate how quick the plow was to hook up on my B7510 to a buyer.
I could not get the collar to lock. Not so quick

After much frustration I thought (scary ) What is holding it shut?

Apparently I had disconnected under pressure. I bled the fitting at the actuator
on the plow and Wallah! good as new.

Has anyone seen this? Can someone explain how this works and how to prevent..

After shutdown move the joystick around to clear the pressure.
