I haven't gotten the tractor yet, I'm actually working with a dealer in used Japanese tractors and by the end of this week I'll have picked out one. All of the tractors get new FEL with third function, which has pretty primitive controls-- 3 levers, so its not some sort of solenoid valve that will burn out as I've read can be a problem.
Until now, I've been making post holes with a 2-stroke post hole digger. It has 4, 6, and 8" augers. We have heavy clay soil here, and it works and all, but can be a bear to use alone and doesn't have any reverse, so if the auger catches a root bad than I have to take the motor off and manually rotate the auger out of the ground.
I don't have any experience with hydraulics, so if there is a good tutorial to start to understand, that would be great. But basically, if the earth drill I have right now has a 50cc, 2HP two stroke motor, then how do you size a hydraulic motor to be at least that sort of output?
