Hydraulic motor ID?

I have a White hydraulic motor on my tiller. The model number is CE14070300. I checked the White Drive Products web site and could not associate my model number to any listed model number. The serial number on my motor is not similar to model numbers on the White web site.

I would like to know the displacement, rpm, and pressure rating on my motor?

Can anyone direct me to a web page or other source for determining the specifications of my motor?

That number doesn't match anything I have on the CE, WR or RS series White motors, either. I'd go to their website and email them, or just call them. They answered my email in a couple of days, then had a local distributor contact me...

Thanks for your reply. I emailed White Service from their web site and received the following reply.

"The new model code for that is a 400230W3122AAAAA. 400 = series, 230 = displacement, W31 = housing, 22 = shaft, AAAAA = options included."

The White web site provides information/translation of their present model code.

It appears White changed their model designations. I asked if they had a site that explained their old model designations and they replied no.

Interesting -- that's the same model code that someone had posted here earlier as being a wheel motor for the PT-425 (must be the newer models). It's a 14.2ci CE-series motor with a 1.25" tapered shaft.

Out of curiousiity, what kind of coupling does the tiller use to couple a tapered shaft to the tiller? Since I'm going to end up with 4 old motors with 1" tapered shafts, I've been looking for a source for couplers (Lovejoys or something) or even pulleys to fit the tapered shafts. I'm not having a lot of luck...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the motors are the same. PT loves to keep it simple. Using the same part for wheel motors and implement motors fits that philosophy nicely.

The coupler is a 6 inch long cylinder/pipe tapered with a key slot on one end to fit the tapered motor shaft and fastened with a castellation nut. Requires a special castellation socket to remove and install. The other half of the cylinder/pipe fits over the tiller shaft and is fastened with a bolt through both. PT will sell you the castellation socket for $60. I believe they would sell you the coupler but I don't know their price.

Thanks, that's very helpful, in case I need to fabricate something. I'll have four 12.5ci motors to find a use for -- they're a bit big for paperweights.
