I have a Kubota 2029 with a modified truck snow plow mounted in place of the bucket on the fel. I want to use the bucket curl functions to angle the plow. I am adding diverter valves in the curl circuit to do this. I disconnected the connections from the rubber hose to the steel lines and discovered I needed different fittings. I reconnected the lines, started it up and found out that when I pushed the joystick out, the bucket curled down (normal but when I pulled it in, the bucket also curled down. When I pushed the stick out hard (the float function) the bucket curls up (fast). If I had reversed the lines I assume that the curl would be reversed. I can't imagine what's going on. Any ideas?

Well it looks like I did reverse the lines, that explains why it's acting like it is. After the big snow we've got coming, I'll reverse them back and post the results back here.

It is to easy to reverse them like that. I use tie wrap markers to keep track of what goes where.

Yep, I did get them reversed, went out this morning, put them back right and mystery solved! After the snow, I'll proceed with the blade angle project, which started the whole thing. Thanks

ITs a regen valve. Thats why with lines reversed they BOTH make the bucket dump.

However....if you push far right and have a detent feel (that you are calling float) that actually isnt float. Its "power dump" or non-regen mode.

IF you use an old truck plow with a pair of single acting cylinders.....regen is NOT going to work to angle the plow.

So EVERYTIME you want to angle right....you will have to push the joystick into that detent position

Thanks for the info, this project is teaching me about hydraulics! Fortunately I am using one double acting cylinder, so I should be okay
