Greetings all! I recently purchased a TC33D hydro, with 7308 FEL, Woods 72" rake, and a Woods SB74 snow blower for the rear mount. Love it! Only have 13 hours currently... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Lately, I have been having a little extra noise from my hydraulics when I lower the FEL.. It's quiet going up, and rolling the bucket in and out, but going down, it makes a loud moan, and I can actually feel the vibration in the stick. It did not do this when I first got it.

Also, I get a little hydraulic noise when I put the 3 point hitch up, also don't remember hearing this when I first got it.

Sound like anything bad?

Thanks!

First thing would be to check your hyd. fluid levels.. then check for leaks.. could be getting some air in the system.

Thanks! I forgot to mention, fluid is fine, no apparent leaks.

Well, upon closer examination, I found that the area around the quick connects was a tad moist with hydraulic fluid.. can't tell if it's from the quick connects, or a threaded joint. Tightened everything I could.. Still makes the same noise after a few cycles of the bucket up and down.. I wonder if it's not a little low on fluid now. The bucket won't roll out and lift at the same time anymore. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Here is something from NH service centers web site that might solve your problem.

Series TC SERIES TRACTOR CLASS 2
Group Hydraulic systems - 35
Summary Description HYDRAULIC NOISE
Symptoms Hydraulic noise or squeal on units equipped with optional two spool remote valve for front end loader or other front mounted implements.
Causes <ul type="square"> 1. Harmonic vibration in steel pressure lines connecting the hydraulic manifold block/diverter valve and the remote valve.

2. Front wheel drive shaft outer shield is dry and is contacting the drive shaft
Solutions Reference Service Bulletin 9/98-T3, Driveline Noises

<ul type="square"> 1. Replace the steel pressure line, PN 86526868, connecting the diverter valve to the remote valve and the steel pressure (power beyond) return line, PN 86526869, connecting the remote valve to the diverter valve with locally fabricated hydraulic hose. The hose acts as a hydraulic dampener reducing the hydraulic squeal.

NOTE: If the steel lines are replaced under warranty be certain to list the two steel line part numbers (86526868 & 86526869) as the causal parts. Claims not clearly identifying the part numbers will be rejected.

2. Refer to the service bulletin for information on driveline noises commonly mistaken for hydrostatic transmission noise.
Jason, two questions...

1. Is this noise harmful, i.e., should it be fixed if even if we can live with the noise?
2. Will switching to the synthetic F200 hyd fluid (or the Amsoil equivalent) solve the problem?

I don't think it would be harmful just aggrevating. I don't think synthetic oil will make a difference; but I would definantly talk it over with a "true" tech at your dealership.

My quick connects have always leaked some.. mostly it seems under heavy strain. Have you disconnected & reconnected the quick connects.. you should be able to lift and roll the bucket at the same time.. probably best to call the dealer.. see what they say. Hope it's something simple..

Cool thanks! I have a call in to my dealer, they are sending a tech out hopefully tomorrow.

My quick connects seem to be leaking, enough for the fluid to run down the hard lines, and drip on the ground.

I can't see why they should be leaking on a 13 hour tractor. I have never separated them.

I'll be sure to let everyone know how it turns out. At least I did manage to get my ROPS mounted lights wired today /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The dealer tech said that the noise is from the hard lines. I guess that makes sense. I just don't remember hearing it before.

Thanks for all replies!!!
