Hydraulic plumbing Q?

   / Hydraulic plumbing Q? #11
Looks like you did a great job. I'm jealous, I have all this knowledge, can get all the parts for nothing, and I never did this. I guess I just proved that I'm a lazy idiot.
Glad everything worked out. Just one caution, if you are doing anything with any kind of weight at all, put a nice load in the bucket for counterweight. If you look at a propane lumberyard type forklift, the entire piece on the back under the propane tank is one huge piece of cast steel. The small counterweights weigh about 1.5 tons. Please, be safe, put a load in the bucket regardless. I don't want to see you post a picture of your tractor laying back on the mast with the bucket pointing straight up in the air.

Now that's ingenious. Leave it up to TBN members to find new uses for their tractors.

Thanks. While pilfering the hydraulics out of the forklift, I did remove two good sized cast weights that I've already chained together at their former mount points to use as counterweights.

I'm so ingenious I'm borderline nutcase :D
