I have two hoses that run from front of my tractor to the back, when the backhoe is not on the tractor they are coupled together so that power goes to the 3pt.
when the backhoe is attached the hoses are coupled to the hoe, the 3 point hitch still works which is downstream of the hoe, most valves I have seen like the loader valve have an in, an out (either with a powerbeyond sleeve or not) and a return to tank.
why does the backhoe not have a sepearate hose back to the tank is the return to tank plumbed into the powerbeyond side, is that possible?

Hope this makes sense

You would have to know the characteristics of the BH valve.

Most valve OUT ports are rated for about 500 psi and can be damaged by the back pressure.

Someone may be taking a chance by keeping everything is series, and connecting the OUT line to the 3pt...

Most BH are mounted to the frame, so the 3pt is not needed, so the OUT hose from the BH goes to tank.

If your BH has the three hoses, then you have the ideal hyd circuit.
