Kubota bx25
Hey guys. I recently added a deere plow to my kubota bx25. I am having trouble with the hydraulics. When I use the stick forward and back the plow goes up and down just as it should. When i stick right the fluid comes out of one hose, when I stick left I get fluid from both the left and right hose. I have the hoses in a bucket so I can see it. Any idea? Obviously the cylinder can't work right if I have fluid going to both sides of it.
Fluid level is full and it all worked fine with the loader on it.

Are you talking about the bucket work ports or cyl hose?

When you go stick left, that is bucket curl up , and fluid should come out of one work port. The cyl fluid will return to tank through the other work port.

When you go stick right the bucket should curl down and fluid should flow from one work port if not in regen. The cyl fluid will flow to tank through the other work port.

If in regen, fluid flows into the cyl from one one work port and the other work port is blocked so the fluid on the other side of the cyl will flow into the base end of the cyl increasing dump speed

To be clear, are you saying that with the bucket cyl hoses disconnected from the valve, you get flow from both work ports when you go stick left, and when you go stick right, fluid only comes out of one port.

To the forum from Alabama. What are you doing that tractor in Chicago? I have a son in Portage, IN who does IT work for a steel processor in Northwest Indiana.

Fluid in both hoses, yes the cylinder will still work. THat is a regen cycle.

Odd that it is happening when you stick left. But yes, a cylinder will still work with pressure at both ports. It will extend, and rather quickly.

Regen doesn't "block" one of the work ports, it connects both work ports together, and puts pressure to both. So the end result is that the cylinder will quickly extend, with little chance of cavitation, because it's REGENerating the fluid from the rod end, but he cylinder force is reduced.

In regen, the flow is blocked to tank, and all flow goes to cyl.

Yes, but you said one of the WORK ports were blocked, I just wanted to clarify that neither work port is blocked.

Just a misuse of words.

The rod end work port is re-routed internally to feed the base end of the cyl to provide regen. .
