I started my ASV 2810 up on a cold morning the other day. When I tried to raise the bucket only the left side wanted to move. The right side cylinder seemed stuck. I tried to free it by gently moving it up and down, but the twisting broke the "T" off of the ram on one of the tip cylinders. I shut it down and decided to wait until it warmed up. Today it was 50 degrees out so I started it up to see if the lift cylinder was still stuck. Only now it won't lift at all. It will still drive, it sounds fine, no cavitation noises or anything like that, but there is no power to the loader or the low flow output at all. What caused it to stick and what's wrong with it now? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

maybe bent hyd rod?.....piston head broke internally?....dented barrel?
best to remove both and open them up to inspect

Pump shaft might of broke, make sure the pump is turning.

Guess I need to take it apart and see what I find. I was hoping there was a something small I was overlooking.

Is there a load lock valve on the right side cylinder? Some skid loaders had this feature? Not lifting at all could be a valve linkage issue if mechanical linkage or electric wiring issue if solenoid operated.

Does the tilt function work? If yes then your pump is operating.

No load lock feature that I'm aware of, at least not on the cylinder. There is a way to lock the arms in the up position, but it involves raising it and inserting pins. It was in the lowered position when I had the problem. The valve has the joystick sticking out of it, not much in the way of linkage to go wrong. What's odd to me is that the valve was apparently working fine until the tip cylinder broke (or at least broken in a different way, ie not sending pressure to the right cylinder). Why did the pump suddenly stop working after I shut the machine down?

I tried looking for a parts breakdown on your machine at it appears to have a double gear pump for loader and auxiliary functions. Will any of the functions work with the joystick? If not I would double check the Joy stick to see if it is pure mechanical or electrical. I couldn't tell from the parts breakdown. Pretty rare for a gear pump to just stop working.

Nothing controlled by the joystick works, nor does the low flow output which is also part of the valve. As far as I can tell, there is nothing electrical on the valve itself. I'm thinking Leejohn may be right, perhaps the drive broke.

Possible the pump drive broke.

Good luck on finding the problem.

Well I finally tore into this thing today. I found the pump housing was broken where the low flow pressure line attached. So it appears that I am in need of a new pump, or at least part of a new pump. This particular pump runs about $2500, at least that's what I have found online. Is there another pump that I might be able to get to work? I see lots of them on eBay for a fraction of the ASV price.
