I hada failurethis winter on myYM 3000. Its been i nthe family 12 or 13 years. THis winter I had to back it out of the barn because a power line was damaged near by and the PC advised me to empty the shed. It rained down the shifter boot that had a hole in it and I didnt know it when I started it my pump had locked and twisted the shaft off in the housing. I ordered a new pump and seal kit from Hoye tractor but when I went to take the shaft out of the coupling the shaft was gaulded insidethe bore.
It took 3 hours of heating, drilling, pounding, and swearing to get the shaft out. I cleaned out the bore but its got gaulds in it and wont fit. I might chuck it in the lathe if I can find an 11mm Ream. I called Hoye tractor but they are having trouble finding this part. I may call JD as bad as I hate to. Im needing to find this part bad as I need to till in about 27 tons of compost. This is killing me to see my tractor down this long.
