What is the GPM rating for that PTO unit?
Thanks,

It looks to me like a planetary gear set up. Two parts to the pump or rather, two sections. Bottom section slides onto the pto shaft along with a very heavy duty brace/bracket that conveniently clips on where the draw bar goes. No chains or other items needed to hold pump in place or from spinning. From pto shaft, it is machined housing up to the actual pump. The side rails that the hoe hangs on tracotr rails have been extended about 8 or so inches. This, was to allow for the steel 18 gallon hydraulic tank. Of course the hydro lines go back and forth under there. The pump is 11 GPM at 2600 PSI. At 1200 or so RPM's, simple digging can occur without a problem. When I get to that long ditch that I know is heavy boulders/rocks and hard clay, I am sure I'll have to run it at 2600 or very near that to get full power. I also am quite certain it will perform super when I get to do it. Whoever at Bradco, certainly took their time and came out with a pretty decent design. I understand now that this (IS OFFERED) as a new option for those with large back hoe's. Should be well worth the added investment although I have no idea what they will charge for it.

It's only 11 gpm? I would have thought that a PTO driven pump would deliver more than that.

A Bradco 511 hoe needs 11gpm to operate correctly. This is well advertised in various places on the net. Their own web page, the same dealer who I bought from, etc, etc. More GPM is just as bad as too little, like trying to run it off the 7 gpm pump that is standard on our tractors. Go with what Bradco (knows) will work,, and Mahindra at least did this.. It is working superb now and I can't say enough for whoever designed this set up..

It seems that most SSL implements/attachments need @ 15 gpm as a minimum. I wonder if Mahindra could accomodate those numbers?

I really can't answer this one Eric. If it was me, e-mail Mahindra mktg and tell them, I want this SSL set up, this particular implement, which requires (X) GPM to operate, and how do I approach this? What does Mahindra do to approach this same problem or are you looking into it now? What does Mahindra offer as an alternative?

If I was to have one major complaint against Mahindra, it would be timing. They did in fact follow through on my complaint and rectified it, admirably. I brought up flat deck, flip over seats on a few ocassions. Asked the same question of Kioti, 2 months ago. Kioti mktg sent me an e-mail that they have already designed and will sell flat decks as an option in about 6 more months. What I am saying is that Mahindra I believe, loses too much time between Texas, India and the TYM factory in Korea. Too many months go by while less than a handful of people are really involved in the decision making.
Somehow, they are going to have to speed this process up and speed it up quickly. My dealer has several really great ideas they run by me in general chit chat. Seems it falls on deaf ears as it takes unreasonable time to think these things out. Mahindra is a great and wonderful tractor for sure. I just hope they get some serious thinking/doing it speed up, because if they don't, they will continually lose market share to those like Kioti, that do..Eventually, and I don't think it takes that long a time, they will cut their own throats and wonder what went wrong..
