Hi guys, I have a 1972 ford 2000 diesel, the hydraulics just quit all together I rebuilt hydraulic cylinder and top cover and rebuilt hydraulic pump (piston type) and put new o-rings on suction pipe at both ends. I can't get it to prime up. I took pump back apart to see if I did something wrong and I can't find anything. The only thing I found is the elbow coming out of sump to inlet pipe is sort of loose, I can move it up and down about 1/4 inch. Please help

If the intake pipe is loose that's why it won't prime. there has to be a leakproof connection from the pick up to the pump.

How does the elbow seal is there a gasket or o-ring? I don't think I can turn it a whole round
