Hydraulic pumps on 1610

The previous question got me re-thinking about adding hydraulic capabilities to my TS1610. Due to the high cost of a hydraulic pump for one of these tractors maybe someone could give me an opinion on the robustness of the pump and system. Would it handle the strain of a splitter or loader etc., without drastically cutting short its like. It's handles the TPH but is there the capacity for the demands made by these other implements? Unlike the song I'd rather not burn out or fade away.

This a open center system . It pumps oil at a set pressure & at a constant volumn in relation to its RPM's. Running a wood splitter isn't going to drastically cut short its life. A wood will run on the tractor's hydraulics. Some of the smaller models use a lower pressure, so it won't have as much force. The splitter will not operate as fast as one with its own engine . Most of the older compact tractors put out 5-6 gallons per minute (GPM) . A wood splitter with a gas engine usually has a 10GPM pump, so the tractor splitter will be slower.
