I have a leak in my hydraulic pump on my Ford 861. After disassembling, I found a tear in the inner cover gasket. I will try to find one locally tomorrow, but in case I am unsuccessful, I would like a plan B due to predicted snowfall (I need my tractor, loader mounted plow so I don't need the 3 pt).

Is there any issue with running the tractor without the hydraulic pump? Not that I could think of, but thought I would run it by you all. I would put something together to cover where the pump mounts to the tractor at both the engine and manifold. Will it work?

poor choice as you have tubes open.

Why not just replace the gasket?
