Could you please tell me if a female hydraulic quick disconnect fitting for a snowplow can be repaired in an emergency by wire brushing any corrosion or rust in it or is replacing it the only option. Thanks in advance..

It's the O ring that needs to be service in all probability. Can you eliminate the disconnect by hard fixturing it if that gets you back in business ? Ordinary pipe couplings will work.

I always kept two lines with fittings behind the truck seat. When you or someone else is plowing parking blocks or curbs put a lot of back pressure on the hoses. Lines always get blown at 3 am in the morning with snow still coming down. Pipe fitting idea is a good one.
