I think it is the same on both the gear-driven B7100, and the HST.
Here is a thread I started a while back looking for the same info.
I ultimately found it on my own:

Download the following file:
http://www.kubotabooks.com/AutoIndex...STE_1.3meg.pdf

Go to page 74 (152 of the file, 74 is the printed page).
Item #110 is the adjusting shim.
Please be aware the the parts list for each diagram is AFTER the diagram, not before (this can be confusing).

If you are lowering the pressure (from the stock 1700), it might just be easier to adjust the relief valve on the loader's valve. Most have a relief pressure adjustment that is just a bolt you turn. Personally, I'd leave it at 1700, as that is only about 13% higher than 1500, and won't hurt anything on your FEL. The 3PH is pretty weak on the B7100 as it is, you won't want to reduce it further.

I hope this helps,
Jay

jas67 ,

If the relief pressure is 1700 psi, What is max pump pressure? If ohiokubota is installing a loader valve, he needs to know what the max system pressure is. He will have to set the loader relief valve to some point below max pressure.

I am looking at a Kubota book, Page 45, B7100 HST 1982, and the relief valve is on the back of the control valve, and shows a plain washer, and a shim which looks like a washer, in the relief setup.

Sorry to take so long to respond, I haven't been on in a while.

1700 PSI is the system pressure

Then, the relief pressure should be set at 1625 to 1675 psi.
